Viewport for Safari

Privacy policy

App and Safari extension

Viewport adjusts website document width on your device. The app and extension do not transmit webpages, form values or usage data to us or third parties. There is no registration, advertising, tracking or cloud AI. We do not operate a server to process your webpages.

Local settings

Safari stores the automatic-mode switch, your confirmed view geometry, additional width and explicitly created website settings locally. A website setting contains the origin, such as https://example.org, without page paths or query parameters. Viewport does not create a list of visited pages or browsing history and does not save passwords or input values.

Website permissions

Safari access is required to measure document width and apply removable CSS. You choose which websites Viewport may access. Automatic mode across the websites you want to use needs the corresponding Safari permission. The websites themselves have their own privacy policies.

Delete settings

Open Viewport from Safari’s page menu and choose “Delete all settings”. This removes saved Viewport settings and undoes its width adjustments on connected pages. You can revoke website permissions separately in Safari settings. Rules you save remain locally until deleted.

Voluntary support requests

If you contact us by email, your email address and the information you provide are processed to handle your request. Please do not send passwords, tokens, private webpage content or completed forms. Where possible, describe only the app version, system version and observed behavior. Depending on the request, processing serves to handle a contract-related inquiry or our legitimate interest in providing support. Requests are retained only for as long as needed to handle them and meet any applicable statutory retention duties.

Your rights

Where we process personal data, you have rights under the applicable legal conditions, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and, where applicable, objection. You may also complain to a competent data protection authority. For questions, use the contact address above. We cannot access settings stored only locally in Safari; you can delete them directly in the extension menu.
